Our client, a long-established electrical utility construction and maintenance contractor, is seeking a Safety & Health Field Coordinator to join their team. This individual will work closely with the Manager of Safety & Health - Industrial, Project Managers, Project Superintendents, and craft personnel to promote and ensure safe work practices and conditions across electrical construction and maintenance projects. This role is field based and requires extensive travel to project sites.

• Assist with new hire general safety orientation
• Coordinate on-site safety meetings and conduct safety training
• Conduct and document on-site safety audits and provide safety technical support
• Handle record keeping and reporting
• Promote proactive and preventive safety activities by observing, analyzing, encouraging safe work behaviors, and correcting unsafe conditions
• Integrate safety into project plans, establish safety goals, reinforce safety policies and procedures, and monitor safety metrics
• Support and coach supervisors and employees
• Provide feedback to encourage learning, monitor safety compliance, and create awareness
• Set priorities focused on continuous improvement

• Demonstrated ability to work with IBEW union craft personnel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• CUSP (Certified Utility Safety Professional) certificate required
• 5-10 years of construction safety experience
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, or equivalent experience considered
• Willing and able to travel extensively
