Symonds Elementary School is seeking Classroom Assistants to join our team for the next school year This is a unique opportunity for those entering the education field, offering space to work at the heart of the classroom, providing the targeted support that helps middle schoolers thrive during their most formative years.
We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable stepping outside the traditional "classroom" setting to support students in dynamic, non-traditional environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Targeted Support: Assisting teachers and students to improve academic achievement in a variety of school settings.
- Student Empowerment: Working directly with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning concepts and foundational skills.
- Foundational Success: Providing the extra boost students need to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree, two years of college (approx. 48 credits), or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Working with middle school aged children is preferred.
