The Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants to teach Comparative Genocide for the Spring 2027 semester. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. All courses will be taught in person. No applicants seeking to teach remotely will be considered.

Comparative Genocide(4 Credits-Tuesday/Thursday, 12:00-1:45pm)

An analysis ofcomparativegenocidestudies, with a particular focus on placinggenocidewithin the broader category of mass atrocity crimes. Students critically analyze contested cases ofgenocidein the twentieth century. Course is structured around the responsibilities to prevent, react to, and rebuild aftergenocideand mass atrocity.

• Design and delivery course content for credit courses associated with Holocaust and Genocide Studies undergraduate degree and certificate programs
• Prepare lesson plans and course materials.
• Assess student learning.
• Assign grades
• Refer students to support resources across campus; respond to inquiries
• Provide support, mentorship, and supplemental instruction to students related to the course
• Abide with USNH and KSC policies; participate in appropriate departments/unit meetings

• Master’s degree in related field.

• Terminal degree in related field; prior successful undergraduate teaching experience.

$800 a credit or $840 for those with terminal degrees
