Role Purpose

The EOIR Project System Engineer (PSE) will work to direct the technical resources required to execute program goals and deliverables. They will work with Program Management to ensure project technical needs are staffed and work is executed against the program’s required timeline. The EOIR PSE will guide and generate technical milestones, work structure, and work output to support overall project requirements.

They will organize and conduct technical reviews, work closely with facility planners, and schedule technical resource usage with other engineering managers to achieve project goals.

Experiences/Education - Required
  • BS in Engineering (systems, optics, electrical, physics) with 3+ years experience in electro optic system design.
  • Strong understanding of IR Materials, IR system’s architecture, IR sensors, spectrometers, optics, mechanics and lab test/measure practices.
  • Capable of leading a diverse team of technical experts and clearly establishing goals in support of project deliverables.
  • Ability to understand and negotiate technical electro-optical specifications with customer
  • Work with technical team to develop project technical risk registers and plans to mitigate.
  • Ability to generate Development Engineering roadmaps for future EOIR products and materials.
  • Strong understanding of financial budgets and GAANT charts.
  • Ability to construct and maintain a financial budget for technical resources, both personnel and equipment.
  • Willingness to interface with Customers and travel to their facilities.
  • Competence with project management tools in engineering (MS/Project), Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Good communicator with experience briefing executive level business and engineering management.
  • Report writing with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to obtain a DOD clearance if required.

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is $83,839.00-$assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
