Reliability Technician IIThe Role
You’ll be working within an engineering team to construct and validate embedded software systems for industrial marking and coding equipment. We have a challenging, fast paced environment where you’ll work with hardware, software, systems and reliability engineers to understand requirement specifications and then implement tests for increased reliability of our product lines. You’ll be working hands on with our Marking and Coding equipment and required to build or develop simulated I/O in order to run tests with world class equipment.
Build and test high-speed electromechanical components, assemblies/printers, printer prototypes, and experimental setups. Perform a wide variety of support duties in development and implementation of test, debugging or documentation of printing systems, equipment, and methods for best practices in Product Qualifications.
Job Responsibilities- Working hands-on with Markem-Imaje coders, PCs and development tools
- Reading, understanding, and executing test protocols
- Documenting test results in books, electronic logs, and reports for understandable feedback to engineering discipline teams
- Must be able to read prints and schematics, and build systems accordingly
- Set-up of data acquisition equipment and instrumentation
- Conduct testing of mechanical and electrical components, subsystems, and systems
- Document experimental conditions and test results
- Maintain lab equipment including chambers and instrumentation
- Other duties as required towards organizational goals
- Minimum Associates Degree in an engineering discipline, preferred in Electrical-Mechanical domain
- 5 – 10 years experience on an engineering team or in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with instrumentation, and at least one data acquisition system
- Electro-Mechanical Technician skills with attention to details, and hands-on
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team oriented environment
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Results oriented, self starter with the ability to work with minimal direction
- Must be organized and able to multi-task
- Eagerness to learn new skills and new tools
- Experience reworking PCBs or cables, soldering or crimping wires [IPC-A-620 Certification desired]
- 3D mechanical CAD experience with simple mechanical machining skills [considered a plus]
- Programming of PLCs, motor drives, and other production line systems [considered a plus]
- Experience with HALT and Environmental Chamber and testing [considered a plus]

Pay Range: $28.85 - $38.94 per hour
