The Town of Canaan is seeking applicants for a full-time Licensed Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator to assist with the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Town’s water and sewer facilities.
Responsibilities- Daily plant operations
- System monitoring
- Sampling
- Recordkeeping
- Equipment maintenance
- Responding to operational issues as needed
- Hold applicable New Hampshire water and wastewater treatment certifications, or have the ability to obtain required certifications within a reasonable period
- A valid driver’s license
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and in adverse weather conditions
Compensation up to $70,000 depending on experience and certifications. Benefits include participation in NH Retirement System, health, dental and life insurance, and vacation, sick, holiday and personal paid time off.
