Job DescriptionThe Business Analyst is an individual contributor within the Business Technology team, responsible for supporting analysis and delivery of enterprise payment solutions. This role partners with Treasury, Product, Digital, Technology, and Finance partners to help ensure payment capabilities are scalable, compliant, and in consideration of our needs.
You will help translate our needs into clear, applicable requirements, supporting the payments roadmap, and assisting with analysis of production issues that impact customer and financial operations.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Digital and Technology Product.
Main Responsibilities- Payment Solutions Support & Delivery
- Support analysis and delivery of the enterprise payments roadmap, including digital, lockbox, Auto Pay, and real-time payment programs
- Partner with Product Owners and Lead Business Analysts to define features and document payment capabilities in consideration of value
- Help with implementation and optimization of main platforms, such as payment gateways, billing systems, and treasury integrations
- Help ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, and financial controls
- Requirements and Business Analysis
- Elicit, document, and validate our requirements across the payment lifecycle, including initiation, processing, reconciliation, and reporting
- Translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation
- Perform gap analysis, process mapping, and impact assessments with guidance from senior team members
- Develop artifacts such as process flows, data mappings, business rules, and functional specifications
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Be a liaison across Finance, Treasury, Billing, Product, UX, and Engineering teams
- Participate in working sessions and requirements workshops with partners
- Document solution options, trade-offs, decisions, and follow-up actions
- Coordinate with external partners and vendors where applicable, such as payment processors and banks
- Data, Reporting & Financial Controls
- Document requirements for payment reporting, reconciliation, and financial controls
- Partner with Finance and Treasury to support accurate cash application, settlement tracking, and audit readiness
- Support data analysis to inform decision-making, issue resolution, and compliance needs
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Help ensure payment solutions follow regulatory, audit, and security requirements, including PCI, fraud controls, and segregation of responsibilities
- Support enterprise governance practices, such as payment standards, onboarding strategies, and control frameworks
- Identify and document risks across payment processes and system integrations, escalating concerns
- Team Contribution & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to team best practices in business analysis, documentation, and partner engagement
- Maintain clear, organized, and traceable requirements documentation
- Support complex programs by partnering with senior analysts, product owners, and technical teams
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-oriented solutions or service
- Demonstrated experience defining technical SDLC requirements for moderately complex IT projects using a variety of graphical and textual techniques.
- Demonstrated experience consulting on the development of test strategies and plans for medium to large IT projects.
- Demonstrated experience using multiple facilitation techniques and other methods to elicit and document requirements and resolve conflicts among project partners.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple modeling techniques/tools used to convey and gain agreement regarding requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. (e.g. Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).
- Solid knowledge of system architecture and system engineering processes.
