In‑Person Interpreter (Independent Contractor) Position Summary

As a 1099 Contract Interpreter, you will play a vital role in supporting diverse communities by delivering on‑site interpretation services in a variety of settings. This role offers flexible, per diem assignments with competitive pay, allowing you to build a rewarding and scalable career.

• Provide accurate, on‑site interpretation between English and your target language.
• Travel to client locations within a 30‑mile radius.
• Maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and appropriate tone during all assignments.
• Deliver clear and complete interpretation without omissions or additions.
• Respond promptly to scheduled assignments and communicate effectively with clients.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Provide excellent customer service in all interactions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must reside within a 30‑mile radius of Rochester, NY.
• Willingness and ability to travel locally to assignments.
• Strong commitment to punctuality, preparation, and professionalism.
