Kingsbury is a 25‑bed medical‑surgical unit focused on inpatient care at Cheshire Medical Center. The unit cares for patients with a variety of medical conditions as well as post‑operative patients. Most patients are elderly, but we also see patients as young as 18. The team has a good mix of staff experience and is welcoming to newly licensed individuals. Teamwork is very important, and having fun is encouraged.

As a member of the team, you will work 12‑hour shifts with an every‑other weekend and every‑other holiday rotation, according to the needs of the department.

Under the general supervision of the Nursing Team Leader, Clinical Leader, and/or the Department Director and under the general direction of the department physicians, you will perform as a member of the healthcare team to apply the nursing process when making nursing judgments and decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation/delivery, and evaluation of patient care, and documenting relevant data and care processes.

We work closely with the education department and the unit educator to ensure everyone follows evidence‑based practice. Opportunities for professional development abound, including cardiac telemetry training, ACLS certification, and other professional certification support. Advancement opportunities include charge nurse training, preceptor training, and other leadership development courses.

Excellent assessment, communication, interpersonal, and organizational/time‑management skills. Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team and respond calmly and effectively in a fast‑paced environment and during a crisis and/or emergency. Computer skills required. May be required to participate in evening, weekend and holiday coverage according to the needs of the department.

Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of New Hampshire. New grads welcome and encouraged to apply. Current certification in BLS required; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
