Job SummaryA169-bed regional referral center, is seeking a high-acuity ICU Registered Nurse. This 10-bed unit manages a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics within a Level III Trauma setting. The facility requires a seasoned clinician who is proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and advanced life support, with the flexibility to support the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Critical Care Management: Provide 2:1 nursing care for unstable patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex interventions.
- Advanced Monitoring: Manage and interpret data from Arterial Lines and other hemodynamic monitoring systems.
- Life Support & Ventilation: Expertly manage patients on mechanical ventilation and titrate vasoactive "pressor" drips (e.g., Norepinephrine, Vasopressin).
- Epic Documentation: Utilize the Epic EMR system for all charting, medication scanning, and care coordination.
- Float Versatility: Maintain readiness to float to the PCU (Stepdown) to support patient flow and unit needs.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of current ICU experience is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Arterial Lines, ventilators, and titration of IV vasoactive drips is required.
- EMR: Previous Epic experience is required.
- Licensure: Active New Hampshire (NH) or Compact RN License must be uploaded with your profile.
- Certifications: * BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association) – Required.
- NIHSS (Stroke Certification) – Required.
- Logistics: Travelers must have their own vehicle for this assignment.
- Residency: No locals; permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility.
- Unit Size: 10-bed Intensive Care Unit.
- Trauma Level: Level III.
- Location: Keene, NH 03431.
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as required.
- Scheduling: Block scheduling will NOT be accommodated. No more than 5 days of RTO (Requested Time Off) will be accepted.
