Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will provide specialized perioperative care within a surgical setting, primarily supporting the Interventional Radiology unit. This role requires extensive scrub experience and the ability to perform RN duties within scope of practice, ensuring high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments, including scrubbing and assisting during procedures.
- Perform RN duties within scope of practice in the Interventional Radiology unit, supporting surgeons and medical staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and providers to ensure seamless workflow and patient safety.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and compliance requirements, including licensing and certification standards.
- Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly using EPIC or relevant electronic health records.
- Provide patient education and post-operative care instructions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of OR or surgical scrub experience, preferably in Interventional Radiology.
- Current NH RN license or Compact state license required.
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to perform or RN duties (within scope of practice) in the Interventional Radiology unit.
- Own vehicle and valid perm address required for on-site assignments.
