Position: Regulatory Affairs (OTC or Cosmetics)
  • 5+ years in product development, quality control, or regulatory roles (FDA & cGMP preferred).

Overview

The Regulatory Affairs Manager ensures product integrity, compliance, and brand trust throughout the product lifecycle. This role oversees ingredient compliance, labeling accuracy, regulatory strategy, and risk assessment while supporting innovation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Strategy — Lead compliance planning for new ingredients, formulations, and technologies.
  • Compliance Oversight — Ensure products meet FDA, EPA, NOP, NSF/ANSI 305, Fair Trade, and other standards.
  • Label Review — Approve product labels and packaging for accuracy, allergen disclosures, and certification marks.
  • Supplier Documentation — Verify supplier technical documents, safety data, and sustainability claims.
  • Testing & Validation — Design testing strategies with labs to support compliance and claims.
  • Project Management — Collaborate with innovation teams to align priorities and manage documentation.
  • Scale‑Up & Tech Transfer — Lead documentation for manufacturing transitions and contract manufacturer handoffs.
  • Team Leadership — Supervise RDI Coordinator, set priorities, and establish workflows for compliance tracking.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field; or Business with cosmetic/pharma experience.
  • 5+ years in product development, quality control, or regulatory roles (FDA & cGMP preferred).
  • Strong expertise in ingredient compliance and safety assessments.
  • 3+ years in ingredient research, supplier engagement, and documentation review.
  • Project management experience with software tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
