The Parent Aide/Educator role at Northeast Family Services supports families and children in need of in‑home services. The position reports to a Clinical Supervisor and collaborates with DCYF and other providers to deliver comprehensive support. Positions are available across New Hampshire.
Responsibilities- Maintain assigned caseload and ensure proper implementation of in‑home services in accordance with referrals made by DCYF.
- Respond collaboratively with DCYF to referral requests, create treatment plans, participate in treatment meetings, and provide regular service‑specific documentation.
- Develop and collaborate on treatment plan formation with measurable and attainable goals in partnership with families and DCYF.
- Adhere to all documentation requirements of service delivery, including assessment writing and report writing.
- Participate in reporting progress to the court system through in‑person appearances and written reporting as requested.
- Provide parent education and supervised visitation to children, adults, and families in home and community‑based settings.
- Offer parent coaching and support, including provision of effective parenting strategies, meeting healthcare and educational needs of children, understanding developmental milestones, meal preparation and budgeting.
- Enforce supervised visitation expectations as identified by DCYF to ensure child safety.
- Interface with DCYF, the NH court system, schools, behavioral health providers, and other members of the treatment team to provide quality service delivery.
- Successfully assess client risk on an ongoing basis and consult with clinical supervisor regarding any safety concerns.
- Transport clients, including children and adults requiring car seat and booster seat installation.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation, responding to phone calls to provide support to families as needed.
- Maintain early evening availability, with most visits scheduled in the afternoon or early evenings. Flexible schedule is required to meet client needs.
- Document all clinical contacts and documentation using the Electronic Health System.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience working with children, youth, and families in a home or community setting, OR
- Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, youth, and families in a home or community setting.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
