Our client, a reputable provider of care and support to Children and Young People aged 7-18 are looking to appoint additional Senior Support Workers to their home in Keighley.

The Children and Young people may have Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviours, Autism or ADHD. They may also have suffered neglect, trauma, sexual exploitation, or other types of domestic abuse. As a Senior Support Worker/Team Leader you will be responsible for a range of duties as set out below:

Working alongside Manager & the Deputy Manager in Children's Residential Home.
Ensuring that our Young People receive the highest standard of support/care appropriate to their individual needs.
Providing advice, assistance, and support to Young People, safeguarding their welfare at all times.
Ensuring that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
Ensuring shifts are planned with Residential Support Workers, to take the lead on shift and be responsible for the events on the shift
Attending to Young People's practical, physical, and emotional needs and acting as an appropriate role model.
Working closely with Young People to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.
Communicating effectively with the team of staff coming onto shift ensuring that a thorough account of your shifts events has taken place.

What we are looking for:

A Certified Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent.

Experience of working with Young People that have social and emotional difficulties, or behaviour that challenges.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence
Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight
