VCA River Road Animal Clinic provides urgent care solutions for pets throughout the Willamette Valley and beyond, supporting the regional network of general practice providers who may not always be able to see their patients as quickly as they would like to. We are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our team in a relief capacity, covering occasional 8a-6p shifts in order for us to protect the stability of our Monday-Saturday schedule during times when other doctors may be away.
Our team includes three CVTs, five experienced VAs, and a capable CSR team to support our veterinarians at all times. Our hospital is well equipped for common day treatment cases and has evening transfer relationships with multiple local and regional overnight ER providers. Our practitioners enjoy case selection involvement in order to ensure that the patient load properly lines up with the level of case complication that they wish to work on.
For historical GP practitioners, this can be the perfect compliment to a day job that may focus heavily on wellness, leaving a desire for more diversity, or it may simply be an effective way to supplement income while building new relationships. If this is just what you've been looking for, we'd love to meet with you!
Currently, our hourly rate for relief veterinarians is $150/hour and we will reimburse mileage at the standard annual rate.
As a member of the VCA family, your passion for medicine and compassion for pets and people is matched with a commitment to your professional growth. Among the reasons to consider joining VCA are:
- Network of 4,500+ doctors, including more than 600 Specialists.
- Largest provider of Private Practice Internships and Residencies in the U.S.
- WOOF University, offering abundant CE for Doctors and Staff.
- Robust Clinical Studies program.
- Opportunities to give back through strong Shelter partnerships and VCA Charities.
Benefits:
We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), generous employee pet discounts and more!
