Truewood by Merrill, Keller is seeking a Business Office Director to support seniors in our community. The position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, a free daily meal, and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping and Accounting:
    • Manage the community accounting process in accordance with policies.
    • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
    • Perform month‑end close tasks.
    • Support department heads with proper coding of purchases and policy compliance.
    • Enter invoices and payables in a timely manner with proper coding and approvals.
    • Monitor Accounts Payable and Visa Works for accurate card usage.
    • Identify, resolve, or escalate A/P and other accounting issues as they arise.
    • Set up and manage resident account and billing information.
    • Assist the General Manager with resident accounting deliverables.
    • Ensure timely collection of resident receivables and process resident payments.
  • Payroll & Human Resources:
    • Support the GM and department heads throughout recruiting and hiring.
    • Manage onboarding of new team members and ensure training documentation.
    • Update employee information in Ulti Pro and process change requests.
    • Track training and expiration dates as required.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with wage and hour laws.
    • Process leave of absence requests and resolve related issues.
    • Serve as liaison to the Seattle office for workers’ compensation, health insurance, and other benefits.
  • Operations Support Duties:
    • Assist the GM and department heads in creating and running key reports.
    • Manage the Monthly Rental Increase process.
    • Respond to ad‑hoc requests from regulators, vendors, and staff.
    • Act as the on‑site liaison for the IT Department to schedule work and coordinate rollouts.
    • Assist Seattle Office staff with process improvement efforts.
    • Support the GM with staff and committee meetings as needed.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of college required (associate degree with emphasis in Accounting or Business preferred) OR 6 years of office management and bookkeeping/accounting experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue, and payroll functions.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts.
  • Knowledge of general human resource practices.
  • Experience in the senior living industry a plus.
Physical Requirements
