Reports to: Campus Principal
Responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records as reported by teachers for purposes of state funding. Under close supervision, perform data entry including attendance and Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data if assigned. MajorResponsibilities and Duties Records and Reports
- Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data, if assigned, into established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.
- Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
- Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to designated administrator.
- Compile, maintain, file, and distribute all reports, records, and other documents as required following established procedures.
- Monitor late arrivals and early dismissals; issue tardy passes as needed.
- Generate related daily and three‑week attendance reports as well as any reports needed by administrators, teachers, parents, and students.
- Assist in campus office as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain systems for retrieval of information in support of all programs; compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and computerized reports, records and other required documents.
- Pursue Professional Development activities for self and assigned staff; ensure that Professional Development activities are aligned with District goals and initiatives and current professional research.
- Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.
- Comply with the Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
- Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years successful clerical experience
- Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
- Ability to use software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases and do word processing
- Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to meet established deadlines
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
- Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
- Work to be completed on‑site from assigned school or building; regular exposure to noise and computer monitors
