The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 3:00pm and based on a 36-hour workweek.

Position Function

Under the direction of the Director of Public Works and/or Designee, performs assigned duties necessary to assist with the management of the daily operations of the Water/Wastewater division by overseeing the execution and management of water and wastewater programs to include, but are not limited to: installation, maintenance, construction, and repair and/or modification of water and wastewater pipelines, mains, meters, hydrants, and manholes.

  • Performs assigned duties necessary to assist with the management of the daily operations of the Water/Wastewater division by overseeing the execution and management of water and wastewater projects, to include, but are not limited to: installation, maintenance, construction, and repair and/or modification of water and wastewater pipelines, mains, meters, hydrants, and manholes. Responsible for the distribution, supervision, and inspection of projects and tasks.

  • Performs assigned duties to assist with the proper preparation, tracking, and administration of the annual budget. Assist with forecasting expenditures necessary and required to complete division projects, procurement of goods and services, and personnel related costs. Obtain cost estimates from contractors, vendors, etc. Create and maintain necessary records, reports, work orders and other information in various formats. Responsible for customer response and outreach.

  • Responsible to ensure the proper selection, retention and training of personnel. Supervises/trains personnel; conducts performance evaluations and disciplinary processes and procedures within established organizational and departmental guidelines, policies, and/or directives. Responsible for safety training and implementation. (15%)
  • Performs additional duties as assigned. (5%)
