Executive Director of Special Education

This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Director of Special Education at Keller ISD, located in Keller, TX. The Executive Director of Special Education will oversee and manage all aspects of the district's special education programs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing curriculum, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, leading the special education department, collaborating with teachers and staff, and providing training and support related to special education initiatives.

The role also involves meeting the educational needs of diverse learners and fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.

• Expertise in Curriculum Development and Special Education, with a comprehensive understanding of appropriate teaching practices
• Strong skills in Educational Leadership, including the ability to lead, manage, and support a diverse team in achieving educational excellence
• Experience in Teaching and Education, with a focus on working with students of varied abilities and backgrounds
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices related to Special Education programs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and stakeholders
• Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field;
  Administrative or Principal Certification is highly desirable
