Special Education Teacher | Keller, Texas

This contract position offers the opportunity to provide targeted instruction and behavioral support to a small caseload of 1st through 3rd graders. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with students who have severe behavioral needs and can implement effective strategies to create a positive, productive classroom environment.

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training highly preferred
• Strong collaboration skills to work with classroom staff, specialists, and families
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education and behavior plans
• Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations

• Instructing and managing a classroom of four students with severe behavioral needs, grades 1-3
• Applying de-escalation and positive behavior intervention techniques
• Developing lesson plans and delivering tailored instruction based on each student's IEP
• Documenting student progress, behaviors, and interventions
• Collaborating with support staff and administration to ensure a cohesive educational approach
• Engaging with parents and guardians to support continuity of strategies at home and school
