TCC operates six major campuses in Hurst, Fort Worth, and Arlington, with administrative offices located in downtown Fort Worth at the May Owen Center. The institution partners closely with local industries to support workforce development and hands-on learning opportunities.
This role is responsible for the overall operation, evaluation, compliance, and continuous improvement of the Toyota Technician Training & Education Network (T-TEN) program as its primary area of responsibility. The position provides year-round leadership for program administration, strategic industry partnerships, workforce development initiatives, work-based learning, and student success activities. Serving as the primary liaison between the College, Toyota Motor North America, participating dealerships, and other stakeholders, this role ensures compliance with Toyota standards and requirements, supports program quality and sustainability, and advances workforce outcomes aligned with College and industry needs.
As assigned, the position also provides technical and operational support for other manufacturer-sponsored automotive programs, industry partnerships, apprenticeship initiatives, and related workforce education activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Automotive Service Management, Technical Education, Business, Workforce Development, or a related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience leading, coordinating, or administering an automotive, manufacturer-sponsored training, apprenticeship, internship, workforce development, or comparable technical education program
- Two (2) years of experience developing and maintaining partnerships with employers, dealerships, manufacturers, industry representatives, or other external stakeholders
- Two (2) years of experience managing program operations involving compliance requirements, documentation, reporting, credentialing, audits/program reviews, or other quality-assurance processes
- Current Toyota-recognized technical certification or the ability to obtain and maintain required Toyota T-TEN Program Coordinator credentials within one (1) year of employment
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Automotive Technology, Automotive Service Management, Business Administration, Workforce Development, Technical Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- Three (3) or more years of experience serving in a leadership capacity within a Toyota T-TEN, TECS Elite, or comparable OEM-sponsored automotive training program
- One (1) year's working experience serving as a T-TEN Program Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, automotive program director/coordinator, department chair, lead instructor, dealership service leader, or OEM technical trainer
- One (1) year's working experience managing student recruitment, dealership placement, internship completion, student certification, and employment transition within an automotive or workforce program
- One (1) year's working experience leading program reviews, corrective-action plans, compliance monitoring, accreditation, ASE Education Foundation requirements, or OEM program standards
- Toyota Instructor Certification and/or completion of Toyota T-TEN Coordinator Training
- Toyota Master Technician or Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician certification
