With a history dating back to 1941, Brazos Electric has grown and evolved over the years to serve the changing needs of our member-owner co-ops and their customers throughout Texas. Brazos Electric Cooperative provides transmission and distribution services for 16 Texas electric co-ops whose service territory extends across 68 counties from the Texas Panhandle to Houston. Those 16 co-ops are the member-owners of Brazos Electric, and our board of directors is comprised of one representative from each of our member-owners.

Job Skills / RequirementsReady to make an impact in the power industry? We’re looking for a skilled Substation Patrolman to help keep our transmission system safe, reliable, and running strong.
What You’ll Do:- Perform switching operations & support outage restoration
- Maintain site security, vegetation, and ERCOT weatherization compliance
- Provide 24/7 on-call response across the Brazos Electric system
- 3+ years substation or transmission line experience (or military equivalent)
- Utility training program or AAS in electrical/electronics
- Class A CDL preferred (Must live within the assigned territory)
