Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Manager of FP&A and work closely with the Senior Manager of FP&A and CFO.
This person will support the company's financial planning, forecasting, reporting, modeling, and strategic analysis. Because the finance team is small, the role will provide broad exposure across the organization and the opportunity to work on projects typically reserved for more experienced finance professionals.
The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of progressive finance or FP&A experience and a demonstrated track record of taking on increasing responsibility. Experience in a private equity-backed, holding company, investment banking, transaction advisory, or similarly analytical environment is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models used for forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
- Support the company's three-statement financial model and develop a strong understanding of the relationship between the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of 13-week cash flow forecasts.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes.
- Assist with the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and management presentations.
- Analyze revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, working capital, cash flow, and other key operating metrics.
- Identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities and communicate findings to FP&A leadership.
- Partner with the CFO and FP&A team on strategic financial analysis and special projects.
- Develop financial models and analysis to support business decisions, investments, and growth initiatives.
- Assist with M&A and transaction-related analysis, including financial diligence and modeling.
- Support analysis related to capital expenditures, ROI, debt, and capital structure.
- Partner with operations, sales, purchasing, and other departments to understand business drivers and improve financial performance.
- Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and other analytical resources to improve financial visibility.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve FP&A processes, reporting, forecasting, and automation.
- Research and analyze business performance to understand why the numbers are moving, not simply report the results.
- Support ad hoc analysis and special projects for the CFO and senior leadership team.
- Take on increasing ownership of FP&A processes as the company continues to grow.
