The ASC Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the daily operations of the facility comply with local, state, federal regulatory requirements and standards established by selected accrediting bodies. This role includes daily accounting oversight over internal controls, management of cash, and review of purchased services and maintenance contracts. The Administrator administers and supervises all clinical personnel and is accountable to the RVP of Operations for coordinating all care and related services of the ambulatory surgical center and its staff.

Through strong organizational skills, the Administrator directs the operation of the facility, maintaining its physical property and equipment. The Administrator develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures to assure cost‑effective, safe, and high‑quality care. The Administrator oversees the development of short‑ and long‑range operational and capital budgets. This will be a multispecialty cardiac‑focused role.

• Assists surgeons by ensuring service team members are adequately prepared.
• Delegates responsibilities and duties to professional, technical, and ancillary personnel.
• Evaluates performance of all department personnel.
• Manages scheduling.
• Coordinates administrative duties to ensure proper functioning of the staff.
• Coordinates provision and control of materials, supplies, and equipment with the Director of Supply.
• Coordinates activity within the OR suite, improving processes and efficiency.
• Serves as Risk Manager Designee.

• Motivates and empowers facility employees to meet the facility’s mission and purpose.
• Builds appropriate working relationships with the Governing Board, Partners, Medical Staff, Departmental leaders, Surgery Partners, facility staff, patients, and family members.
• Interviews, hires, counsels, and evaluates direct reports effectively and timely.
• Participates in regular leadership development and implements programs for facility managers.
• Ensures systems are in place to comply with State, Federal, and accreditation standards (currently AAAHC accredited).
• Develops and manages the operating budget, capital budget, and projections.
• Oversees fiscal management to assure effective billing, collection, appeals, and accounts payable management.
• Familiar with HST software.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business, or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of four years of supervisory/management experience.
• State RN license preferred, along with strong Operating Room knowledge.
• ASC experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and Accrediting Body regulations and standards related to healthcare.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement and that of others.
• Experience in budgeting and personnel management, along with strong cost‑saving ideas.
• Evidence of continuing education directly related to the job specifications.
• Orthopedic experience preferred but not required.
