Job Summary
Texas Power Bars is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Barbell Manufacturing, Assembly & Warehouse Technician.
This is not a traditional warehouse or order-picker position. The primary responsibilities are operating manufacturing equipment, making barbell components, assembling finished barbells, inspecting products, and helping prepare orders for shipment.
You will be trained to operate CNC lathes, manual lathes, saws, presses, and other production equipment. You will also assemble barbells, install components, inspect finished products, package bars in shipping tubes, and assist with receiving, inventory, and shipping when needed.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with machines and tools, building products, learning new skills, and taking pride in producing a quality finished product.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC lathes, manual lathes, saws, presses, and other manufacturing equipment after training
Load raw materials and parts into machines and remove completed components
Monitor machines during production and report quality, tooling, or equipment issues
Learn basic machine setup, tool changes, and production procedures
Check parts using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools
Help manufacture barbell shafts, sleeves, collars, and related metal components
Assemble barbells and strength-training equipment
Install sleeves, bushings, end caps, labels, and other components
Inspect parts and finished products for fit, appearance, function, and quality
Package barbells securely in shipping tubes
Lift, carry, and move steel products weighing approximately 40 to 60 pounds
Prepare, label, verify, and stage customer orders for shipment
Receive and organize raw materials, components, and finished products
Operate pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, and forklifts when qualified
Perform basic equipment cleaning and routine maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Assist with production, assembly, receiving, inventory, and shipping as needed
Qualifications
Previous manufacturing, machine-operation, mechanical assembly, automotive, construction, maintenance, or production experience is preferred
CNC or manual lathe experience is helpful but not required
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently after training and as part of a team
Warehouse, shipping, inventory, Shopify, or Ship Station experience is helpful
Fitness, power lifting, or strength-equipment knowledge is helpful
We are willing to train the right person. Mechanical ability, reliability, work ethic, and pride in building quality products are more important than experience in every area.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand and walk for most of the shift and regularly bend, reach, push, pull, load, and move products. Must be able to safely and repeatedly handle barbells, steel parts, packages, and materials weighing approximately 40 to 60 pounds.
This position involves working around machinery, steel products, trucks, and normal manufacturing noise.
Schedule and Pay
Full-time weekday position. Overtime may be available based on production and shipping needs.
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
