Position Summary
Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signage, and in‑stock inventory levels. Budgeting and forecasting sales, assessing economic trends and community needs are also part of the role. Provides direction to Associates on customer/member service and problem resolution, oversees community outreach, ensures compliance with policies and regulations, manages asset protection and safety controls, and develops vision center associates through hiring, training, and mentoring.
Provides quality eyewear service by consulting with members, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment.
Lead the Vision Center in a customer‑centric, compliant, and high‑performance environment. Oversee daily operations, develop and monitor performance plans, build accountability, and continually improve processes. Promote a culture of belonging, respect, and integrity while supporting the Walmart mission, ensuring ethical standards, and engaging in local giving and sustainability initiatives.
Minimum QualificationsCompletion of 2+ years of college OR 1 year retail and 1 year supervisory experience OR 2 years general work experience with 1 year optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under state laws and regulations.
Preferred QualificationsExperience supervising Associates.

Hourly wage range: $24.50–$34.50 per hour, with additional premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
