Title: Assistant, Finance & Reporting
Salary: $52,883 - $66,104 - $72,714 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 Hours (core hours 9:00 am‑3:00 pm, Monday‑Friday)
Location: Alberni (Metro Vancouver) – located on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil‑Waututh Nations, Hybrid. The role will relocate to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil‑Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About

The Role

As the Assistant, Finance & Reporting you will provide a full range of administrative support and services to office functions and activities. This role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams and key stakeholders, handling tracking, monitoring, and maintaining financial and non‑financial reports. The position works independently and assists with carrying out processes and procedures, participating in special assignments with minimal supervision.

About

You Education
  • Completion of High School plus a certificate in office administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Experience
  • Recent and significant experience (2-3 years) in providing a full range of administrative support and services to a team, including a senior manager (recent defined as within the last 4 years)
  • Experience with the use of MS Office software, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to analyze information and data to develop correspondence, presentations and other material
  • Ability to arrange meetings, engagement sessions, conferences, etc. including all aspects of logistics, documents and materials
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and with a ‘hands‑on’ approach to meet deadlines and accomplish assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively within a team
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and activities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and share learnings
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information and matters in a trusted and responsible manner
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships and work in a team and collaborative environment within the office and potentially with all partners and communities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including proofreading skills
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel
  • Thoroughness with strong attention to detail and accuracy and commitment to high quality work
  • Demonstrated record of sharing knowledge and skills with others
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

Pay

and Promotion

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.

Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
