About the Opportunity
Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector space to support the recruitment of an Administrative Assistant. This is a 3-month contract opportunity based out of the organization’s West Kelowna office, offering the chance to support a busy and collaborative healthcare-focused environment.
In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and compliant, while also supporting day-to-day office operations.
This position also includes a broad range of administrative responsibilities that support the overall efficiency of the team and office environment.
This role is open to all qualified candidates; however, preference may be given to individuals who identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis and/or have experience working with First Nations, Inuit or Métis communities. The final hiring decision will be based on merit.

Your Responsibilities
You will maintain general office organization and manage supplies inventory
You will receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
You will maintain fleet schedules, track vehicle usage and availability
You will complete data entry, record keeping, and filing tasks to support team operations
You will prepare meeting minutes as required
You will collaborate with team members to identify and support process improvements
You will proactively support communication flow across teams and provide updates as needed
Skills and Qualifications
Strong background in customer service or administrative support
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities independently
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Process improvement mindset with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
Healthcare or public sector experience is considered an asset but not required (training will be provided)
Experience working alongside First Nations, Inuit, or Métis communities, businesses, or organizations is considered a strong asset
