Location: Penticton

Support Penticton Regional Hospital as a Relief Part-time Switchboard Operator | Registration Clerk. Perform crucial reception tasks during rotating night shifts, enhancing patient experience.

In this important role, you will manage switchboard operations and assist with patient registration at Penticton Regional Hospital. Utilizing your two years of experience, you will ensure smooth communication among patients, visitors, and staff while responding to emergencies. The rotating night schedule requires you to be available from 11 PM to 7 AM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage switchboard and public address systems

• Receive and assist patients and visitors

• Respond to alarms and monitor emergency codes

• Maintain accurate on-call lists for staff

• Perform patient registration and cashier duties

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12 education

• Two years of related experience or equivalent

• Typing speed of 45 words per minute

• Familiar with medical terminology

• Recent typing test completion required
