Protection Services Dispatcher

Position: Protection Services Dispatcher Role
Interior Health is hiring casual Dispatchers for the Protection Services Operations Centre in Kelowna. Bring your Basic Security Training and typing skills to support emergency communication efforts.

In this critical position as a Dispatcher, you will keep track of field activities and provide immediate links to safety services.

Your role will require operating communication systems, prioritizing urgent calls, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with the Protection Services team to ensure effective response to incidents and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate communication equipment to manage calls

• Record significant information for emergency responses

• Maintain logs and reports of communications

• Monitor security and safety systems

• Engage in incident documentation and evidence collection

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and 1 year related experience

• Basic Security Training Certificate required

• 45 w.p.m. Typing Test Certificate

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to manage various technical systems

Take part in safety management as a Dispatcher, ensuring effective communication and support services within the community.
