In this full-time position, you'll be part of a dynamic team, guiding contractor safety initiatives. Building strong partnerships with key stakeholders is essential to fostering a culture of safety at FortisBC, the province's leading energy provider. Your actionable insights will help shape policies and programs that align with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Familiarize with the company's organizational values and safety management
• Build trust-based relationships with contractor stakeholders
• Provide expert oversight on safety compliance and procedures
• Collaborate on training, onboarding, and audits
• Assess and improve contractor safety management systems
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in health and safety or relevant field
• 4-7 years in occupational health and safety
• Relevant OH&S certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication skills and adaptability
• Valid BC driver's license and travel readiness
