Boundary Electric is seeking a high‑impact, strategic Controller to lead its finance function and serve as a trusted partner to the President and senior leadership team. This role extends beyond traditional financial stewardship. The Controller will play a central role in driving business performance, enabling strategic decision‑making, and enhancing financial discipline across a complex, multi‑entity environment.

Reporting to the CFO and acting as a key advisor to the President, the Controller will oversee all financial operations including reporting, budgeting, audit, and compliance, while also leading a capable team of accounting professionals.

• Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning activities
• Ensure compliance with ASPE, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
• Manage year‑end audit processes and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors

• Act as a key advisor to the President and leadership team on financial and operational decisions
• Provide insights to support pricing, margin optimization, and cost management initiatives
• Partner with operations and sales teams to improve financial discipline and execution
• Participate actively in strategic initiatives, capital projects, and growth planning

• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Strengthen working capital management, including inventory and cash flow optimization
• Support contract review, revenue recognition considerations, and risk assessment on large transactions
• Manage intercompany accounting across multiple entities and currencies (including USD exposure)

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a high‑performance culture
• Provide coaching to emerging leaders within the team, including succession development
• Strengthen team dynamics and promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

• Leverage ERP (Net Suite) to enhance financial processes, reporting, and scalability
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, including the adoption of AI tools
• Support ongoing system optimization and cross‑entity standardization efforts

• Support risk management across contracts, supply chain, and financial operations
