The Financial Analyst plays a key cross-functional role in supporting the company’s financial planning, budgeting, contract analysis, and accounting processes. This position works closely with category & marketing and other departments to help develop budgets, monitor spending, analyze financial commitments, support month-end closing, and provide meaningful reporting and insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis.

This role requires the ability to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders, evaluate financial implications of contracts and business activities, and ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and aligned with company policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities  Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis   Assist in the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly spending projections for category & marketing and other functional areas.
Monitor actual results against budget & forecast, and prepare variance analysis with explanations and recommendations.
Support department leaders with financial planning for campaigns, projects, vendor services, subscriptions, and operational expenses.
Build and maintain financial models to improve planning accuracy and support scenario analysis.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that may impact budget performance or spending expectations.
Departmental Business Finance Support   Act as a finance officer to category & marketing, and other departments by providing financial guidance and analysis to support business decision‑making.
Work with department leaders to evaluate proposals, spending requests, and business initiatives.
Translate financial data into clear and practical insights for non‑finance stakeholders.
Support cross‑functional initiatives that require budgeting, cost analysis, or financial input.
Contract Analysis & Commercial Support   Review contracts, vendor agreements, agency arrangements, and service agreements to assess financial terms, pricing, payment schedules, and other relevant renewal clauses.
Evaluate contract implications on budgets, accruals, and cash flow planning.
Work closely with internal stakeholders such as category & marketing, legal, and other department leaders to ensure financial terms are appropriate and aligned with company policies.
Maintain schedules or summaries of key contracts and commitments for reporting and planning purposes.
Identify potential cost savings, financial risks, or compliance concerns in commercial agreements.
Accounting & Month-End Close   Support month-end and year-end close related to departmental spending, accruals, prepaid expenses, and expense allocations.
Prepare or assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Review invoices and expense coding for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in accordance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
Assist with audit or review requests and documentation related to expenses, contracts, and departmental financial activity.
Reporting, Controls & Process Improvement
Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and management summaries related to departmental spending and financial performance.
Help maintain internal controls over budget approvals, spending, and financial commitments.
Monitor compliance with company approval processes, expenses and payment expectations, and financial policies.
Identify and recommend improvements to budgeting, reporting, contract tracking, and financial workflows.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, visibility, and financial discipline across the organization.
