Prestige Oceanview Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC is looking for a full-time or part-time Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor (also known as a Guest Services Agent/Night Auditor).

• Provides courteous and professional guest services
• Utilizes instinctive upselling techniques and negotiate rates to maximize revenue and occupancy levels
• Maintains order and cleanliness at the front desk
• Handles guest accounts
• Assists guests on arrival, departure and during their stay
• Operates the telephone console
• Processes reservation and cancellation requests
• Post room and tax
• Perform food and beverage audit if required
• Reconcile postings, charges and cash for the day
• Balance all summaries to main computer system
• Balance all cashiers’ postings for the day
• Post any incidental charges required
• Prepare all required daily and summary reports
• Perform back up of computer system
• Maintains guest security and safety measures
• Report all system problems to management
• Balance all outlets summaries to the main computer
• Recognize trends in the outlets and room revenue
• Perform other duties as directed by the General Manager

• Must be willing to work both day shifts & Night Audit shifts (11 PM – 7 AM)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must have strong written and verbal skills
• Front desk experience is an asset but NOT required
• Must be willing to get Basic First Aid
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
