Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager for our client, a well-established and respected real estate development and construction firm based in Kelowna, BC.

Our client has a long-standing presence in the Okanagan and delivers a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, and industrial sectors. They are known for their commitment to construction excellence, long-term stability, and developing strong project teams.

The Opportunity

This is a well-rounded Project Manager role suited for someone who enjoys being involved across all phases of construction. The successful candidate will manage projects from pre-construction through completion, overseeing cost, schedule, quality, and team coordination. The environment requires a self-starter who can manage priorities independently while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, schedules, and execution plans

  • Lead projects from planning through construction and close-out

  • Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams

  • Manage procurement, purchase orders, subcontracts, permits, and documentation

  • Track project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics

  • Conduct regular project reviews and reporting with senior leadership

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

  • Resolve issues related to subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel

  • Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and contractual requirements

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency

  • Support and mentor project teams and site staff

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager role

  • Experience across residential, mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, and/or industrial construction

  • Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling, and pre-construction processes

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, C.E.T., GSC, or equivalent field experience

  • Proficiency with project management software, MS Project, MS Office, and financial tracking tools

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
