Position SummaryThe Clinical Team Leader provides direct oversite and support to One Sky’s youth and family service programs, including Integrated Family Development, Reconnect, Parent/Youth Counselling, Youth Peer Support, School-Based Support Programs, Sexual Assault Intervention Program, FASD Keyworker Program, and Adult Counselling Services. This position works within a multi-provider partnership to support a dynamic team. The Team Leader is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned programs, including programming, budgeting, personnel supervision, caseload assignment, case supervision, reporting, adherence to government, legislative and contractual obligations, health and safety, and for maintaining service integrity.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Supervision- Provides direct supervision for the Integrated Family Development (IFD) and other clinical staff.
- Provides direct clinical and case supervision, consultation and case support for all IFD staff.
- Co-develop clinical policies and processes with the Director of Programs and Services, staff and partner agencies
- Participates in performance evaluation of IFD staff, including resulting learning goals and performance management.
- Provides intake screening, assessment and treatment planning as part of an interdisciplinary and interagency team
- Provides individual, group and family counselling for people with complex service need
- Employs advanced practice interventions such as DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, case conferencing, and other evidence-based therapeutic modalities; evaluating the clinical results in team
- Provides crisis intervention and support to youth and their families
- Refers youth and their families to other services, residential programs, and support groups as required
- Collaborates and consults with other service providers to provide needed services to youth and families
- Maintains computerized client records
- Liaises with and/or promotes the interests of clients with other community service providers, professionals and school personnel.
- Oversees the day-to-day operation of the programs by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards and applicable licensing requirements are met.
- Liaises with funders, community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals to the programs and represents the organization or programs in external events.
- Plans and develop programs in consultation with senior management. Plans and implements program activities and special events.
- Formulates program policies and procedures and evaluates the programs in consultation with senior management.
- Promotes public awareness of and support for the programs by performing duties such as assisting in the development of promotional materials and attending community events.
- Supervises program personnel by performing duties such as providing feedback on performance, conducting performance evaluations, and engaging in progressive discipline.
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of program personnel by performing duties such as screening applicants, participating in interview panels, and making hiring recommendations.
- Orients determines the need for and provides training to program personnel.
- Schedules program personnel in accordance with program requirements and approve time entries.
- Monitors and authorizes program expenditures and maintains financial records in accordance with established procedures.
- Assists in preparing the program budget for submission and presentation to senior management.
- Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required. Completes reporting as required within funding contracts.
