Community Outreach Worker

Position: Community Outreach Worker Role Available
Join Kelowna’s Gospel Mission as a Community Outreach Worker. Target underserved populations by advocating for essential services and providing crisis support in a full-time capacity.

This position allows you to engage directly with individuals experiencing homelessness. As an Outreach Worker, your duties will include managing outreach efforts, training volunteers, and building partnerships with other service providers. Your focus on inclusive care will be critical in supporting community members facing significant challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement outreach strategies for unsheltered individuals

• Assist with schedules and training for volunteers

• Prepare and navigate Outreach van routes

• Foster partnerships with agencies addressing homelessness

• Document outreach client interactions in secure databases

Requirements:

• 3 months experience in frontline social services

• High School Diploma required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Clean Class 5 driver's license required

• Capability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly
