Part Time Kitchen Assistant at CMHA

Contribute to community support with CMHA Kelowna & District as a part time Kitchen Assistant. Help prepare meals while maintaining kitchen cleanliness, organized under health standards.

This role offers 18 hours a week, working Tuesday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the Meals Matter Program by assisting cooks and ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment. Previous kitchen experience and Food Safe Certification are assets that can enhance your application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes and sanitize kitchen equipment

• Maintain an organized and compliant kitchen space

• Assist with food preparation as directed

• Store ingredients properly according to instructions

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Clearance from Criminal Record Check for Vulnerable Sector

• Kitchen experience is beneficial

• Food Safe Certification is an asset

• Effective communication skills with team members

• Flexibility to meet kitchen scheduling needs
