Summary
The Agriculture Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and providing agronomic and technical support for our full line of agricultural products and services to growers throughout the Salmon Arm and Enderby region of British Columbia.

This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering professional agronomic recommendations that help growers improve productivity and profitability. The successful candidate will work closely with producers across a variety of crop segments while representing the company with professionalism, integrity, and technical expertise.

We are seeking a Certified Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) who is passionate about agriculture, customer service, and helping growers succeed.

Job Duties

Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned region.

Build and maintain strong long‑term relationships with growers, farm operations, and key accounts.

Conduct regular farm visits to assess customer needs and provide agronomic recommendations and technical support.

Promote and sell crop nutrition, crop protection, seed, and related agricultural input products.

Provide agronomic guidance including fertility recommendations, crop planning, pest management, and production support.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the agricultural market.

Collaborate with inside sales, operations, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure excellent customer service and timely product delivery.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market intelligence using CRM software.

Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and product performance, and provide feedback to management.

Participate in trade shows, grower meetings, field days, and industry events.

Prepare and deliver presentations to growers, consultants, and industry groups as required.

Collaborate with suppliers and technical specialists to stay current on new products, technologies, and agronomic practices.

Support credit and collection activities as needed to maintain accounts in good standing.

Requirements

Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in agriculture sales, agronomy, crop advising, or farm operations.

Strong understanding of crop production systems and agricultural inputs.

Proven ability to develop business relationships and grow sales within a territory.

Ability to identify opportunities and work with multiple decision‑makers.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Self‑motivated with a high level of professionalism and initiative.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel regularly throughout the territory.

Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Working Conditions

Frequent travel throughout the Salmon Arm and Enderby region, including several hours of driving per day.

Attendance at grower meetings, industry events, and customer presentations as required.

Occasional lifting of products or materials up to 25 kg.

Overtime may be required during seasonal peak periods.
