Location: Penticton
Drive the future of fishing in BC as a Fish Biologist with the Thompson Okanagan Team. Lead vital conservation efforts and habitat management initiatives in this outdoor role.
In this dynamic position, you will take on the responsibility of protecting and restoring fisheries in British Columbia. The ideal candidate has at least two years of related experience and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences.
Your role involves fieldwork, data analysis, and collaboration with First Nations and community organizations to ensure fisheries sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct field studies to gather essential data
• Develop strategies for fish and habitat management
• Maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders
• Analyze and report on biological data
• Guide conservation efforts in diverse environments
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Registered or eligible for RPBio designation
• Valid BC driver’s license and ability to work in remote areas
• Physical fitness to navigate challenging terrains
