FortisBC in Kelowna, BC is hiring an Electrical Technologist Apprentice. Join this full-time role and gain expertise in telecommunication and electrical apparatus through guided training.
In this position, you will assist skilled Electrification professionals while taking critical steps toward becoming a journeyman electrician. Your work will include testing electrical apparatus, assessing faults, and installing essential communication equipment. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting will be integral to your development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enroll in a four-year electrician apprenticeship program
• Conduct emergent and scheduled tests on electrical systems
• Record and analyze telecommunication and protection relay data
• Collaborate with others to ensure safety and efficiency
• Undertake site planning and documentation tasks
Requirements:
• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Technology
• Class 5 Driver’s License
