Lead Door Technician

We are searching for an experienced Residential & Commercial Lead Door Technician for our client located in the Kelowna area. Schedule:

Monday to Friday

7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Rotating on-call schedule approximately once every 4–5 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and residential doors, dock systems, gate operators, automated entrance systems, and related equipment.

Lead and mentor junior technicians on job sites.

Participate in and support toolbox talks and workplace safety initiatives.

Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and provide effective solutions.

Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.

Complete electronic work orders, service reports, and timesheets accurately.

Maintain inventory, truck stock, and company equipment.

Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams.

Ensure all work is completed safely and to company standards.

Promote a positive team environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-Have

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience servicing and/or installing commercial overhead doors, dock equipment, automated entrances, gates, rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, sectional doors, or similar systems.

Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians.

Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong computer and administrative skills, including electronic reporting and timesheet management.

Ability to lead by example and participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.

Ability to pass a criminal background check.
