HVAC Technician

The City of Kelowna is seeking a dedicated HVAC Technician to manage heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems effectively. This full-time role requires a Refrigeration Mechanic and Gasfitter (Class

B) certification along with experience in mechanical systems maintenance. You will work closely with clients to enhance comfort levels while ensuring the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems promptly

• Recommend proper design concepts based on client needs

• Monitor and troubleshoot building control systems

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs

• Prepare cost estimates and manage maintenance documentation

Requirements:

• Trades certification:
Refrigeration Mechanic, Gasfitter (Class

B)

• Valid BC Driver’s Licence (Class
5)

• Strong problem-solving abilities in diagnostics

• Attention to detail in documentation

• Effective communication with clients and contractors
