Build field service experience in Kelowna with electrical equipment and experienced technicians at HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. during summer 2027.
This full-time internship supports the Field Service team across Western Canada. You will contribute to service work on High Voltage Circuit Breakers, Transformers, Tap Changers, GIS, and other customer-site equipment. The internship emphasizes hands-on learning, analytical problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform service work alongside experienced field technicians
- Support work on High Voltage Circuit Breakers
- Assist with Transformers, Tap Changers, and GIS equipment
- Work on equipment installed at customer sites
- Travel up to 80% across Western Canada
- Pursuing an electrical engineering degree or technologist diploma
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
Develop electrical field service skills through customer-site equipment work, technician collaboration, and substantial Western Canada travel.
