Cable Network Field Technician

Support Eastlink customers from the field in Western, BC, using technical aptitude to troubleshoot cable network faults and restore service. Relocation to this management area is required if necessary.

As a Service Technician, you will work with an experienced technical team maintaining Eastlink’s outside plant network. Responsibilities include correcting faults affecting services between the mainline and customer premises. The position combines customer-facing service with safe field work across the region. Eastlink provides in-house technical and safety training, including instruction on specific services and duties.

• Troubleshoot faults across forward and return paths
• Correct service issues through customer premises
• Maintain outside plant facilities in a timely manner
• Identify problems impairing Eastlink service operation
• Deliver customer-focused technical service

• Recognized Electronics program graduation
• Professional, customer-oriented approach
• Relevant repair and maintenance experience considered an asset
• NCTI or SCTE training considered an asset
• Ability to work safely near energized equipment
