Mental Health Therapist – Posting #26332

Hourly Rate: $28.68 – $32.26 depending on experience. Up to $2,000 per week incentive for productivity.

Summary

Sea Mar Behavioral Health’s expanding program seeks a full‑time therapist for Kelso, WA.

Responsibilities include:

individual and group counseling, case management, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, treatment planning, referrals, and coordination with medication providers, primary care physicians, and community agencies. The therapist must accurately diagnose mental health issues and develop treatment plans.
Some work will be required after 5 pm and may include out‑of‑office community meetings. This position offers up to $2,000 per week incentive for productivity.

Mental Health Therapist III Duties
  • Diagnostic assessments and referrals for psychiatric services.
  • Case management in coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, and development of treatment plans.
  • Lead clinical groups.
  • Assist Program Manager with program development, policy and procedure development, regulatory compliance, and other administrative tasks as directed.
Education and Experience – MHT III
  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics.
  • Four or more years of field experience.
  • Must meet criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP).
  • Active Washington State Agency‑Affiliated Counselor License (may be pending up to 60 days if applied within 7 days of offer) or Mental Health Associate License (Marriage & Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, or Clinical Social Worker).
Additional Requirements – MHT III
  • Minority mental health therapist (as required by WAC).
  • Current TB test.
  • Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
