JOB SUMMARYThe Corrosion Monitoring Lead serves as the senior field technician and technical resource for corrosion monitoring operations. This position provides guidance and support to field personnel. The Corrosion Monitoring Lead is responsible for corrosion monitoring activities, data management, inventory control, reporting, and client support while ensuring work is performed safely and in compliance with client, company, and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Evaluate corrosion monitoring performance across assigned operating areas.
- Process Coupons and prepare shipments for laboratory evaluation.
- Download, evaluate, and interpret ER Probe data from various systems across the field.
- Data entry utilizing Corrosion Database applications.
- Maintain corrosion monitoring records and documentation.
- Utilize written and verbal communication with employees, management, and client representatives.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development of personnel.
- Coordinate daily work activities and work with AES leadership to ensure operational coverage.
- Maintain inventory of critical operational components and ensure adequate materials are available to support field activities.
- Perform material estimating and cost tracking as required.
- Work with clients and AES leadership to support operational planning and budget objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel.
- Serve as the lead technician and resource for corrosion monitoring operations.
- Responsible for maintaining and servicing valves and retrieval tools.
- Install and remove corrosion monitoring devices in pressurized pipelines.
- Effectively manage daily priorities and schedules to meet client requirements.
- Ensure operations comply with Company, customer, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Follow client and AES policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Driving record must meet Company requirements.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A minimum of (5) five years of related corrosion monitoring training and experience is required.
- Ability to evaluate, interpret, and document corrosion monitoring data.
- Must be able to physically lift equipment (weighing up to 70 pounds) on a repetitive basis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) certification required.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Experience working in Arctic and North Slope operating environments preferred.
- Experience utilizing corrosion databases, ER probes, and weight loss coupon monitoring programs preferred.
- Experience developing reports and presentations for customer review preferred.
