Refining Mechanical Engineer Intern/co‑op (Fall 2025) – Kenai, Alaska

• Develop familiarity with industry codes, best practices, and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Participate in cross‑disciplinary engineering teams to support refinery operations.
• Assist in the planning, design, and oversight of refinery projects, including scope creation, estimation, and scheduling.
• Manage design efforts and coordinate construction activities for approved projects.
• Support reliability initiatives by designing equipment improvements, performing root‑cause failure analysis, and optimizing maintenance programs.
• Investigate and recommend new technologies, materials, and repair methods to improve plant performance.
• Prepare written and verbal presentations for internal stakeholders to communicate project status and findings.

• Current enrollment as a Mechanical Engineering major.
• Strong academic record.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time, indefinite basis without future sponsorship.
• Availability for spring, summer, and fall semesters; multiple work terms preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree‑seeking program.
• Military experience is a plus.
• Compensation: $30.46 – $39.72 per hour.
