The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions is recruiting for a Criminal Justice Technician 1/2 for the Wildwood Correctional Complex (WCC) located in Kenai, Alaska.

What you will be doingWildwood Correctional Complex (WCC) is looking for applicants who are inspired to instill positive change in others and their community while consistently maintaining public safety. Criminal Justice Technicians (CJT) perform duties such as filing court paperwork, booking records, entering sentencing and case information into ACOMS (Alaska Corrections Offender Management System), and arranging offender travel for furlough and release. As a member of a cohesive team, CJTs provide direct support to the probation team as they supervise offenders who are under the jurisdiction of the Superior Court or District Courts of Alaska and have been remanded to the custody and care of the Department of Corrections.

Wildwood Correctional Complex is located in Kenai, just north of Soldotna and the world-famous Kenai River, offering fantastic outdoor activities and much more. This CJT position will work in a team environment in one of the three buildings located on the grounds of the Wildwood Correctional Complex under the direct supervision of the Probation Officer 3.
