The OpportunityHomer Electric Association (HEA) is a member-owned electric utility serving the central and southern areas of the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska! We are excited to be seeking a Information Technology Help Desk I to join our team at our Kenai, Alaska location.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance with cooperative technology.
- Perform both in person and remote troubleshooting though diagnostic techniques as directed.
- Actively monitor and respond to support requests using the phone, email, texts and the appropriate task training software. Document any support interactions, time and resources used in the help desk software program.
- Participate in any development of customer training programs by identifying learning issues and recommending training opportunities.
- Support the testing and reviewing of any new technology, the integration with existing technology and document issues as directed.
- Support the installations and configurations of technologies serving both the company and individual users to the standards identified in the department library as directed.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two years of prior experience providing technical support for an office, retail, or school environment; in lieu of the experience requirement one year certification or training program may be submitted.
- Must submit a valid Alaska Driver's license within 90 days of hire date, and maintain a good driving record.
